Crabbing and clamming is a huge attraction in Coos Bay! People love to leisurely stroll along shoreline looking for clams to cook over the fire. So, we offer crab pots and clam shovel rentals for guests to use on- or off-site. We provide direct walking access to the beach from our grounds.

Romp with the kids at our spacious playground, or roast marshmallows at one of our fire pits. How about making new friends and challenging yourself to a game of bocce ball or horseshoes?

Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area

The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area extends for 40 miles along the Oregon Coast. Formed by the ancient forces of wind, water and time, this phenomenon has become the largest expanse of coastal sand dunes in North America, and they provide numerous recreational opportunities. These include off-highway vehicle use, hiking, photography, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, camping. Others enjoy the site simply for its beauty and solitude.

Cape Arago Highway offers a gorgeous winding drive, often through canopies of tall trees. Take a stop and walk around Sunset Beach. Simpson Reef and Shell Island are home to various types of seals and you may just see a whale spout in the distance. From one of the lookouts, you can easily see the lighthouse, which makes for great photography. Beautiful scenery throughout!
