The 4th of July isn't complete without fireworks, and the Coos Bay area delivers with spectacular displays:

  • July 3rd – Fireworks Over the Bay: Head to Ko-Kwel Casino Resort (formerly The Mill Casino) for "Blast on the Bay" from 6 PM to 10 PM. Enjoy à la carte food and beer, then witness a dazzling fireworks display over Coos Bay at 10 PM, best viewed from the waterfront.
  • July 4th – Family Fun at Mingus Park & More Fireworks: Start your day with the Firecracker Fun Run at Mingus Park, followed by family-friendly festivities from 11 AM to 2 PM. Enjoy free public swimming from 2–4 PM, then catch a second round of fireworks hosted by the City of Coos Bay—ideal viewing from the downtown boardwalk.
